Repatriation

Repatriation

It is when human remains are returned to their country, after passing away while in another country.

To arrange a repatriation, Morris & Morris will need to establish who is the relevant agent or family member here in New Zealand.

In every case the deceased is embalmed, dressed and placed in a casket.

Liaison with the embassy of the receiving country is required, and the relevant paperwork must be completed prior to departure.

A shipping company is contacted, and a flight is arranged then they are flown to or from New Zealand.
